Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Channels Business Manger

REPORTS TO: Channels Operation Director

DEPARTMENT: Indirect Sales & channel

Role Purpose:

Generate demand on OSG & Office solutions and engage Document Technology Partners,

Solution Providers and resellers to increase volume of business transacted via those channels.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

•Experienced, mature sales person managing Xerox relationship in channels

and accounts

•Builds relationship with IT people within Corporate accounts

•Maps the channels based on their activities.

•Understands customer IT supplier partner

•Ensures customer and partners are kept up to date with the Xerox product and

solutions

•Prepare events to the channels and their accounts.

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

•Year-end performance

•Quarterly meetings with major customers joined with the preferred partner

•Yearly engagement plan

•To be discussed in the quarterly review

•To be discussed in the quarterly review

•Once a year

WORK RELATIONSHIPS, COMMUNICATIONS

Internal: customer Admin., Billing, Logistics, Service, Marketing and other sales teams

External: end user and Channel partners

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Education: bachelor Degree

Experience:

• 3 - 5 year's sales experience and knowledge in a channel environment

• Experience with negotiations at the corporate level

• PC orientation; the individual needs to be able to use the personal productivity tools for their day-to-day job

Special Skills:

• Leadership/Team Management Possesses ability to involve and motivate indirect staff and business partners towards the achievement of core objectives.

•Commercial Understanding Knowledge of all business operations, including the core drivers within the sales and marketing process. Broad understanding of the OSG and Office solution. Understands the financial impact of decisions including margin, volume and likely impact on market share.

•Communication The ability to effectively communicate using a range of verbal and written communication skills. Especially important is the ability to communicate appropriately within a diverse multi-cultural environment and across the full range of business disciplines.

•Marketing Understanding of the range of effective marketing tools available in a channel market environment. Able to work with a range of external and internal business drivers, including company directors, to achieve business objectives.

•Multi-Cultural Clearly recognizes variances and similarities across a diverse range of cultures, demonstrating behaviors’ that acknowledge differences and accommodate them in the attainment of business objectives.

• Change Orientation Able to work within a very fast changing environment and to manage in situations where there is a high degree of uncertainty.
